“A Piece of Paper,Donate Your Love” Project is initiated by China Charity Federation. It is to call people to reduce paper waste and to promote reclamation of waste paper. By donating old and waste paper, cash can be generated by recycle the paper to support the project’s charitable goal. Since the project initiated in March 2008, it has obtained support from over 300 representatives from National People’s Congress and the members of National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

Changzhou of Jiangsu Province is the pilot city of this project. Currently, 3,543 organizations have been involved in the project and 8,275 tons of waste paper has been collected. The total fund has been generated is 5.85million yuan by selling the collected waste paper. This fund is used to provide free surgeries and treatments for 151 children with congenital heart disease. “A Piece of Paper-Donate Your Love” Project has gained support and active feedback from all circles, it is now operating in Beijing, Zhejiang, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Shanxi and Tibet.
